SmartStop® Self Storage is looking for an experienced, innovative digital marketing leader to spearhead our marketing strategy and staff to drive company success and growth.  A successful VP of Marketing candidate will have experience with all facets of digital marketing, as well as the business acumen to drive the business and influence all levels of the organization.

 

Job Duties

  • Provide full marketing support, including some graphic design, SEO, web design & maintenance, and trend analysis.
  • Experience in managing multiple social media platforms and email marketing campaigns
  • You are excited by originating creatively-driven, omnichannel marketing campaigns utilized to drive behaviors that facilitate transactions enabling the company’s growth.
  • Be a visionary digital marketing leader and stay on top of industry trends and best practices.
  • Plan, develop, and implement our PPC Campaigns, SEO and SEM strategy.
  • Manage the marketing team, budget, ensure all marketing programs are successful, metrics-driven, and goal-oriented.
  • Report KPIs at meetings as scheduled. Measuring the success of marketing and creative campaigns across the business, provide research and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategy, initiatives, and campaigns.
  • Define, lead, and execute on SmartStop’s user acquisition, marketing, and user growth initiatives
  • Manage the profitable investment of a 7-figure user acquisition budget to hit KPI targets and achieve revenue growth through higher conversion
  • Oversee all reporting and analytics related to user acquisition and marketing
  • Utilize data insights to develop new growth strategies and initiatives
  • Stay current on the mobile user acquisition landscape, growth trends, best practices, and competitor strategies to serve as the subject matter expert on growth

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in a relevant field of study, Masters is preferred
  • 10+ years of digital marketing experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership and management role, at either an Executive or Director level
  • Experience successfully managing multi-million dollar marketing budgets across multiple digital/media channels
  • Experience in using SEO data tools; Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, SEMrush, Ahrefs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply business strategy to data analysis and recommendations
  • Ability to manage and oversee both analytical and creative marketing team members
  • A desire to do both strategic planning and daily execution/optimization, as needed
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to sell and negotiate
  • Ability to project plan and effectively manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to set out a vision and strategic planning initiatives
